Whispering Woods



The trees would never forget her, whispering long past the days that any man would remember why they shivered in the woods even when the wind did not blow.

Very stunned by this one. Visual poetry. Thanks for your comment giving an idea of how you find these.

It took me 8 months before I started my site, because I got stuck on the wrong concept. I was looking for the ultimate set of photos to write a short story or novella around. But I never found anything that seemed to work. And then the idea of one minute stories for one photo hit me like a ton of bricks and I hit the ground running.

Probably some people miss continuity in this concept. I never used even a series of one or two photos from the same set, though I do have a couple of two and three parters using unrelated photos.
